About SAT

The SAT are a fairly new Special Operations Unit that was created on April 1, 1996 (no joke on April Fools?). The SAT were established within in the exisiting MPD (Metropolitan Police Department) and were created to deal with future events of hijackings, kidnapping, etc. by terrorist forces.

Currently there are roughly 200 members and they are much like their European counterparts as of duties, mainly dealing with domestic disturbances, as well as special operations.
