Well in the end Japan wins (again). It’s sort of cool having an “all Asian” final but then again it sucks that America is slipping when it comes to these “international” events/competitions. We/America used to own these types of deals from basketball to baseball to track & field. In the end the WBC was a lot of fun, got to watch the games with a bunch of friends and family and this was probably the most exciting out of all the games. It was a great match but it sucks knowing we could have pitched around Ichiro, but I am sure “Korean pride” got in the way of that thought. Though the Korean press is saying the pitcher was instructed to walk but went rogue, none of which I believe since Koreans have mad pride and now are trying to save face in my opinion. Hats off to Japan and I guess Ichiro. That guys is the “man” only because he talks his smack but he backs it up, can’t hate him for that. As for Sho this was the second professional game he attended and well it’s a win for him regardless! That’s when being a hybrid helps!

This guys always talks shit on Korea and this guys always bust us up. Again he busts us up and I am sure in 2012 or whenever he will talk more shit about how Japan is a more superior race than Korea. Just great. Die Ichiro die.

At the final game of the WBC japan vs Korea. My two Chinese friends don’t really care since their country is such a POS when it comes to baseball. 7th inning japan 2 Korea 1.

Came out to the Skibrall Museum, off the 405 near the Getty, checking out the “Zap Pow Bam” Superhero exhibit. Pretty cool stuff and place to bring the family. It’s funny I lived here my whole life and never heard of the place but pretty cool, good scenary, exhibits and a mini digging site! If your in the area check it out $10 per adult. It’s definitely weird how becoming a family makes you do different things, pre-Sho I would probably be in bed suffering from a hangover. Things done changed.

It’s actually 57 but who’s counting. Today we came down to the OC to eat with my mom, both Ray and my mother-in-law were here, we ended up eating at Pizzeria Ortica, costa mesa. This place it’s probably the best Italian joint in the OC if not “the” restaurant outside of chains (Flemings, Maestros, etc.) because the OC sucks when it comes to food, nothing like LA. If your looking for good Italian food and pizza this is a good bet and prices very fair. To be honest, this place is as good as PIzzeria Mozza (Melrose) if you can get past all the hype. Great parpadelle pasta and great gummy crust. And great for babies, nice and loud Sho was out the entire time.

Korea 3 JDM 1. I never thought Eddie was so crazy but I guess he is. Dope game but all the action was in the first inning. I was sort of disappointed by the lack of general fans (numbered less than 10k), the last WBC had a lot more people perhaps the economy and the odd 8pm start time throw people off. Anyway baseball regardless is the best so chill and fun to relax with the boys.

Though I am not fanatical about being Korean or always being proud of my Korean heritage, today I felt proud believe it or not. It was nice being at Petco Park (SD) and seeing the thousands of Korean fans (see image). Though it was Korea vs Japan it felt like it was Korea vs the void. In this sense I am proud that Koreans can unite and come together for a common goal rather that always being against one another. The WBC though have many critics, I particularly like it because it allows us to see other players that we otherwise would have never known existed. Sometimes living in the states you feel as if this is all that exists. The WBC let’s us see just how big of a world we live in and how much simple things like baseball matter to the rest of the world. And not to get all psychological but just how I feel at the moment. Thanks goes out to Eddie for hooking up the tickets. And also easy money Korea +190 and also +2.5 -150 are you cragee!!!
